    The expressive arts therapies are a predominately non-verbal, action-orientated, multi-disciplinary approach to self-express feelings and experiences, and has become an influential, and evidence-based approach to supporting trauma healing and an effective tool in mental health recovery. Art therapy is a form of psychotherapy, utilising the creative arts as its main form of expression, and at times, combining it with traditional talk therapy to address thoughts, feelings, emotions, and experiences holistically.

  • What to expect in an individual session

    I use a person-centred approach with expressive arts therapy to explore thoughts, feelings and emotions. In your first session, we will discuss what brings you to therapy, and what you're hoping to work through. Creativity is used throughout your journey, you will get the chance to use different mediums, and sessions may include movement, mindfulness and talk therapy.
